The Quality Foam Solutions team recently visited Holtwood, PA for a residential spray foam project. This 2-story new build home reached the point in the construction process where it was ready for insulation and selected spray foam for its comfort and soundproofing abilities.
To start, our crew first sprayed 4ā of open cell foam on the exterior walls. We then moved to add 8ā of open cell foam on the roof. Open cell foam is designed to expand when applied, so it’s a great option to completely fill an area with a lot of gaps.
In the bathroom, we used Rockwool Safe ānā Sound insulation on the wall for extra soundproofing. This stone wool insulation not only provides noise reduction – it is also non-combustible and fire resistant to keep the occupants as safe as possible in the event of an emergency.
To ensure everything was airtight, we applied a super seal package to the windows and doors.
With all the gaps and cracks filled, this Holtwood home is on its way to being a safe, quiet, and comfortable environment for its new owners.
